Associations & Social Sector

Associations and social sector organizations play a critical role in our societal and economic progress and wellbeing. THRUUE is motivated by these organizations’ role as a positive force. Our work with this sector is driven by our vision of a world where all humans thrive in every organization, on every day.

Our Work

Now more than ever, organizations in this sector face complex challenges to deliver value to their constituents in a fast-changing environment and into an uncertain future.  Disrupted business models, evolving customer and stakeholder expectations, elevated attention to organizational culture, and societal-level changes are among the pressures that require a fresh, rigorous approach toward achieving an organization’s goals. We partner with our clients to turn these challenges into purpose-driven opportunities and growth.

Our Process

THRUUE’s approach to partnering with associations and the social sector disrupts traditional mindsets and approaches to reach beyond the status quo, the familiar, and legacy operating models.  Our approach preserves the strength of community and connection of our client organizations while sharply focusing their activities and offerings around who they serve to enable growth and relevance far into the future.  We understand the specific stakeholder challenges of associations and the social sector, and push the expansive thinking required for impact in a changing and uncertain landscape—even when such mindsets are uncomfortable to client organizations.

Our Goal

Our team brings deep and broad experience from associations, the social sector, and business with the world’s leading organizations to deliver results. We relish the opportunity to nurture long-term partnerships with association and social sector clients on their growth and transformation journeys toward delivering sustained value and impact to their ecosystems.

LeadingAge

THRUUE facilitated the work of twenty-one board members, ninety staff members, and five hundred members to create a new mission, vision, set of core values, and strategic plan with metrics. After six months filled with powerful discussions, the LeadingAge board declared a new mission and vision to guide LeadingAge’s meaningful work with aging services organizations across America.

How We Help

Culture and Strategic Planning

Setting purpose-driven, transformational paths forward with clear goals, strategies, and ways to track progress—and successfully executing the strategy for sustained performance.

Culture and Strategy Activation

Aligning culture to strategy—measuring, planning, then shifting toward the culture that is required for people and the organization to thrive and grow.

Leadership and Performance Alignment

Developing leaders and boards to their potential, and aligning them with the imperatives of the strategy, the organization, and their people—toward sustained transformation.

Culture Measurement

Helping leaders fully leverage culture data to drive business performance, moving beyond traditional employee engagement surveys to comprehensive culture and employee experience assessments.

Business Model, Portfolio, and Revenue Strategy

Revisiting and reshaping the organization’s business model and portfolio strategy toward sustained revenue growth and enhancement of organizational and stakeholder value.

“Our Board, with THRUUE’s guidance and teaching, was able to anticipate what lies ahead and develop a roadmap that will keep our organization forward-focused. We will enter 2023 more strategically focused and better positioned for sustainable growth.”

“I have worked with many strategic planning consultants, and none compared to our approach we’ve taken with THRUUE over the past year. The team has been a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend THRUUE to anyone looking for help building out their strategies.”
