Proven executive brings 30-years’ experience in IT, strategy, and culture transformation
We are pleased to announce that Ms. Peggy Alfonso, an accomplished strategy consultant and proven business leader, has joined THRUUE as Vice President. Peggy brings extensive experience growing organizations that help leaders and their teams solve tough problems and driving complex change initiatives to improve organizational growth, performance, and impact.
Prior to joining THRUUE, Peggy launched and led successful strategy and culture practices at two high-growth federal consulting companies where she partnered with leadership teams to build and implement compelling strategies and supporting behavior shifts. For example, at FEMA, in the face of unprecedented disasters this past year, Peggy’s team enabled the Flood Insurance and Mitigation Agency to place $1B in reinsurance for the first time ever—providing survivors much needed help for rebuilding.
Peggy is passionate about combining strategy and her advanced training in Organization Development (OD) to deliver results ahead of expectations in high visibility, high impact situations. She also excels at building deep and lasting relationships with top executives and teams of people, that grow organically in terms of value delivered.
“THRUUE’s mission is incredibly compelling and in the center of my sweet-spot,” Peggy said. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to apply what I am good at and love to do, to help THRUUE grow to the next level. No other consultancy has successfully built the capability to repeatedly deliver content-rich strategy with an OD competence that enables leaders and their teams to achieve the outcomes that matter most. I look forward to making that happen here, fueling our ability to achieve THRUUE’s infinite growth potential.”
Peggy started her career in IT consulting with American Management Systems, Inc., now CGI, leading projects to help financial services and telecommunications companies conceive of and implement large scale change through advanced technology. Peggy later served as Vice President of People’s Corporate University at Connecticut-based Peoples Bank, where she helped the president shift the organization from a bank to a Trusted Provider of Financial Services. Then, at Touchstone Consulting, Peggy codified the firm’s unique value proposition, built a knowledge management capability to support it, and led a top growing strategy practice serving federal Civilian clients. Peggy transitions to her role as Vice President at THRUUE from serving as a practice lead in strategy and organization development at ASI Government.
“I am thrilled to announce Peggy Alfonso as another member of our leadership team. For 30 years, she has helped organizations continuously close the gap between strategy and culture while providing expert change management so that organizations shift successfully and their people thrive,” said THRUUE CEO and founder Daniel Forrester. “We are fortunate to have an executive of her caliber advising clients around the world.”
Peggy holds an MBA in Management Information Systems and Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a BA in French Studies from Mount Holyoke College, and a Certificate in Organization Development from Georgetown University.
Peggy will be based in Washington, D.C. and responsible for leading a segment of THRUUE’s client delivery as well as building teams and repeatable practices for THRUUE’s service offerings.
